  • TWO - FOUR WEEKS PRIOR TO MOVING DAY
  • Confirm moving date with us
  • Complete customs paperwork for your move and take a photocopy of your passport, also take photocopies for your own records
  • Complete removal insurance paperwork
  • Arrange parking permits with your local council - we can do this for you
  • Book an electrician for any light fittings you want shipped - we can book an electrician for you
  • Book a plumber for any appliances that need disconnecting - we can book a plumber for you
  • If you are shipping your carpets you will need to arrange for them to be lifted and cleaned
  • Check with manufactures that domestic appliances will work at destination
  • Hire a skip to dispose of any unwanted items
  • Cash in on car tax
  • Arrange transport and care for any pets
  • UP TO TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO MOVING DAY
  • Ensure valuables that are travelling with you are kept in a safe place
  • Pack personal items
  • Go through your house, garden, garange etc and throw out any unwanted items
  • Empty freezers
  • ON MOVING DAY
  • Ensure parking space is available and any parking permits that have been booked are in place
  • On the removal teams arrival, guide the foreman and team through your property, room by room, identifying which items are to be packed and shipped
  • Before the crew leave, carry out a final check with the foreman to ensure that nothing has been left behind
  • Hand customs forms, copy of passport and any other outstanding forms to the foreman
  • Obtain copy of inventory from the foreman
  • ON ARRIVAL AT DESTINATION
  • Ensure you are there to receive goods
  • Make contact with your appointed agent
  • On delivery day, advise removal team which items are to go where
  • Ask removal team for item numbers, so you can cross them from the inventory
  • Identify which boxes and packages you would like unpacked. We will unpack, re-assemble and dispose of debris on the move day
